Established in 1998, Kiwi Rigging Limited provides a mobile
yacht rigging service in Kerikeri, Opua and the Bay of Islands, New Zealand.
Grant
Jenkins is also available for contracts and overseas rigging
work.
About Grant Jenkins
Sailing
has been Grant's passion since he first started sailing
P-Class dinghies at Torbay Sailing Club on Auckland's North
Shore. Since then, Grant has made sailing his career as well
as his hobby working on many high profile yachts and race
campaigns. He has over 30 years of yacht rigging experience.

Whitbread round the world race
Grant was
a member of the sailing crew and shore crew on board Digby
Taylor's NZI Enterprise in the 1985-1986 Whitbread round
the world ocean race.

One
World (2003 campaign): shore crew based in Auckland and
Seattle.

Prada (2000 campaign): shore crew for Luna Rossa,
based in Italy and Auckland. Prada won the prestigious Louis
Vuitton Cup in this contest.

New
Zealand Challenge (1992 campaign): shore crew
based in San Diego.

New
Zealand Challenge (1986/1987 campaign): sailing crew
(navigator) based in Fremantle.
In 2007 Grant contracted to Team New
Zealand to set up NZL81 and NZL82: the boats had been sold to
Cabo Adventures, a tourist charter operator in Mexico.
Grant's role was to reassemble the yachts so they were ready to
sail.

Personal racing and cruising interests
Grant is a
regular club sailor. He spent many years racing on Auckland's Hauraki Gulf as a member of
Ponsonby Cruising Club and Richmond Yacht Club. He now enjoys crewing in Opua Cruising Club and Kerikeri Cruising Club races in the Bay of Islands.
A keen Ross 930 sailor, Grant built Grunt Machine
in the mid-1980s and owned and raced her for 15 years.

then co-owned an Elliott 7.9, FX, for 11 years and won the following race series in that time:

- 2005 PCC Volvo Round Rangitoto Race - Division 2 - 1st on handicap: winner of Giddens Cup
- 2006 PCC LK Lindauer Women's Winter Series - Division 1 - 1st on handicap
- 2007 RYC Winter Series - Division B - 3rd on handicap
- 2008 PCC Women's Summer Series - Division 3 - 1st on handicap: winner of McWilliams Rosebowl trophy
- 2008-9 RYC Wednesday Night Series - Division R - 2nd on handicap
- 2009 PCC Women's Spring Series - Division 3 - 1st on handicap
- 2009-10 RYC Wednesday Night Series - Division E - 3rd on handicap
- 2010 PCC Women's Summer Series - Division 3 - 2nd on handicap
